ABOUT

Hi, I'm Vicki Pemberton, a self-taught resin and acrylic artist obsessed with paint and bright colors. My style is mostly Abstract, using Fluid Acrylics, Mica powders and of course resin. With this technique, I feel no pressure, only freedom to allow the paint to come alive, hopefully creating a unique piece of art that will spark positive emotions from the viewer.
I was born and raised in Oregon but recently retired and moved to Vancouver Washington. I was a nurse for 40 years and feel blessed to have had such a rewarding profession. Now I am free to pursue my love for art full time. As my journey continues, I hope to grow and refine my techniques.
Accomplishments:
In 2024 I was commissioned to create two 6ftx6ft resin pieces. The first was a human cell being divided by it's own enzymes, the 2nd a neuron from a human brain. The idea suggesting 'Science meets Art'. After completion, the pieces were cut into several circular pieces and installed into petri dishes. Currently hanging in the new Aggie Square Science building in Sacramento California near the elevators.
